Summary

AI-generated · Nov 05, 2025

Market research is being conducted to identify manufacturers capable of qualifying and producing the Aerial Nozzle Press (Coupler) NSN 1680-530-3831, PN 50725. The nozzle assembly attaches to the refueling hose aft of the ejection spring and comprises a housing, locking mechanism, poppet valve, connector, and a hose-end pressure regulating feature to prevent surges in fuel delivery pressure, protecting components on both tanker and receiver aircraft. The item is non-commercial and not under government configuration control; a complete data package is not available, and the government does not have data to support a competitive procurement. The impediment to competition notes that the original design manufacturer is Eaton/Mission Systems Davenport, now routed through Blue Aerospace LLC as the authorized supplier, and that the data needed for competition has not been purchased by the government.

The notice indicates an intent to award a sole-source contract to Safran Power USA, LLC for the manufacture of the Starter Generator in support of the UH-1N helicopter program. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond; however, responses to this synopsis are informational and not offers, and no funds are provided for response preparation.
