Summary

AI-generated · Aug 23, 2025

Market research is being conducted to identify range facilities and support for Multi-Domain Operations testing to test, validate, and integrate current and future GOTS/COTS systems for communications with existing C4I equipment interoperable with planned C4I equipment tied into the Department of the Air Force's Battle Network, Agile Combat Employment's Communication Packages, JADC2 capabilities/networks, and joint DACAS standards as part of the Tactical Air Control Party-Modernization (TACP-M) program office.

Facilities must enable testing and validation of survivable and effective command and control capabilities, sensing of enemy activity within the electromagnetic environment (passive and active), and the delivery of non-kinetic effects through ground-based jamming, EMS awareness, high-capacity beyond-line-of-sight baseband backhaul and other communications support equipment, advanced software-defined waveforms (LPI/LPD), tactical network infrastructure to move data across elements and echelons, and support for small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) for force protection and network extension.

The United States (US) Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Special Warfare (SW) Program Office (AFLCMC/WISN) is conducting market research to identify possible range facilities and support for Multi-Domain Operations for the Tactical Air Control Party-Modernization Program Office (TACP-M) to test, validate, and integrate current and future GOTS/COTS systems for communications with existing Command, Control, Communications, Computers, & Intelligence (C4I) equipment interoperable with planned C4I equipment tying into the Department of the Air Force's Battle Network, Agile Combat Employment's Communication Packages, the joint force's All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) capabilities/networks, and joint Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS) standards. The range facilities will enable TACP-M to test, integrate, and validate whether TACP-M systems provide survivable and effective C2 capabilities, sensing (passive and active) enemy activity within the electromagnetic environment to deliver non-kinetic effects through ground-based jamming Electro-Magnetic Spectrum (EMS) awareness, High Capacity Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) Baseband Backhaul and other communications support equipment, advanced software defined waveforms (Low Probability of Intercept/Low Probability of Detection (LPI/LPD)); tactical network infrastructure and architecture to move data across elements & echelons and Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) for force protection and network extension.
