Summary

AI-generated · Mar 19, 2026

Market research is being conducted to identify possible sources capable of delivering an EMI-robust, one-way attack sUAS that uses commercial off-the-shelf components, augmented with in-house custom components and an Electronic Safe and Arm Device (ESAD). The system must be NDAA-compliant and designed to circumvent Chinese supply constraints, with integration of GPS, 4G/LTE/5G cellular connectivity, true frequency hopping between bands, and an optional repeater to extend operational range to over 20 kilometers. It is intended for specialized personnel within Special Tactics Teams and would enable First-Person View One-Way Attack functionality to support missions such as Global Access, Precision Strike, and Personnel Recovery.

Please see the attached document for further details and information on how to respond.

The United States (US) Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Special Warfare (SW) Program Office (AFLCMC/WISN) is conducting market research to identify possible sources capable of providing an Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)-robust one-way attack (OWA) drone leveraging commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components, a completed solution with in-house custom components and Electronic Safe and Arm Device (ESAD), that are National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)-compliant and circumvent Chinese supply constraints. This system needs to integrate Global Positioning System (GPS), 4G/LTE/5G cellular connectivity, true frequency hopping between bands, and an optional repeater to extend operational range to over 20 kilometers (km). Designed for specialized individuals within Special Tactics Teams (STTs), this capability will enable the integration of First-Person View One-Way Attack (FPV OWA) into core mission sets, including Global Access, Precision Strike, and Personnel Recovery. PLEASE SEE ATTACHMENT FOR FURTHER DETAILS AND INFORMATION ON HOW TO RESPOND.
