REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) Group LE Staff Health Insurance for U.S. Embassy Vientiane The U.S. Embassy Vientiane is conducting market research to identify qualified companies capable of providing group health insurance coverage for Locally Employed (LE) Staff and eligible dependents. Coverage must, at a minimum, include hospitals and medical facilities in Laos and Thailand. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This notice is issued solely for market research and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation, Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or a commitment by the U.S. Government to award a contract. Responses to this RFI are voluntary and will be used to assist the Government in planning a potential future acquisition. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response. Participation in this RFI is not required to participate in any future solicitation. Background The U.S. Embassy Vientiane is conducting market research to better understand the capabilities of the insurance industry in providing comprehensive health insurance coverage for approximately: - Employees: 280 - Spouses: 225 - Children: 650 The anticipated contract period, if a future solicitation is issued, is expected to consist of a one-year base period with four one-year option periods.
