Summary

AI-generated · Jan 29, 2026

Market research seeks a compact electronic navigation system that remains reliable in GPS/GNSS degraded or denied environments, integrating supplemental sensors such as magnetic, inertial, gravity, visual, celestial, radar/lidar, ground signals of opportunity, terrain, and local timing, plus advanced clock synchronization (quantum and atomic) and improved reference maps. The system should be versatile for use on aircraft, land vehicles, maritime platforms, and as a man-portable device.

It must deliver precise location data compatible with the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) for real-time situational awareness and mission planning, and provide continuous location tracking even when GPS/GNSS is unavailable. This is informational market research only; responses will help shape the acquisition strategy and potential future statement of work/objectives. Respondents should follow attached response instructions and mark any proprietary or competition-sensitive information accordingly; no reimbursement will be provided for preparing/submitting information.

This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS)/Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational purposes and market research only; it does not constitute a solicitation. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparing/submitting information in response to this posting. The information provided may be used by the Government in developing its acquisition strategy, statement of work/statement of objectives, and/or performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained within their response as instructed later in this posting. The United States (US) Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance & Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate, Special Warfare (SW) Program Office (AFLCMC/WISN) is conducting market research to identify possible sources capable of providing a reliable navigation system for operations in Global Positioning System (GPS)/ Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) degraded or denied environments. The required capability is a compact electronic navigation system that integrates supplemental sensors, such as magnetic, inertial, gravity, visual, celestial, radar/lidar, ground signals of opportunity, terrain, local timing, quantum and atomic clock s ability to synchronize, pulsar/celestial time synchronization, improved/accurate reference maps. The system must be versatile for use on aircraft, land vehicles, maritime platforms, and man-portable applications. The system must provide precise location data compatible with the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) for real-time situational awareness and mission planning. The system must provide continuous location tracking, even in the absence of GPS/GNSS. Please see attachment for instructions on responding to this Request for Information.
