The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates issuance of an award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Replace Unit A Stairwells at the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Alderson located in Alderson, West Virginia. FPC Alderson is a Federal Prison Camp located at 1 Glen Ray Rd. Box A, Alderson, West Virginia 24910. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials, and labor the removal of existing concrete-filled metal pan stair treads, risers, and landings, replacement with new metal grating components, refinishing existing steel framing and railings, as specified in the statement of work and drawings. Specification attachments included with the solicitation will provide complete requirements for the project. The solicitation will be posted at a later date. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $250,000 and $500,000. (NOTE: This range is one of eight available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238190 (Other Foundation, Structure, and Building Exterior Contractors) with a corresponding small business size standard of $19 million.
