Repair of 514nm Laser Source for inVia Renishaw Raman Spectrometer.
Description
The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) owns the 514nm laser source for the Renishaw Raman spectrometer. This laser source support a wide range of materials laboratory courses, including MS3001, MS3002, MS4312, MS4601, and others. The Raman spectrometer is key instruments for analyzing the molecular footprint of materials, enabling detailed characterization of chemical composition, crystallinity, and molecular orientation. This instrument needs repair to optimize its functionality. Repairing the laser component is essential to restore full functionality of the system and maintain the lab s capability to perform advanced material analysis critical to ongoing research and teaching activities.
