Summary

AI-generated · Aug 24, 2025

Beale AFB Building 2180 requires contractor services to address the 20-ton chiller in two possible scopes: in the replacement scenario, remove the existing water-cooled chiller and install a new 20-ton air-cooled chiller, dispose of the old equipment, and handle all controls, electrical work, and integration with the Siemens Building Management System, with startup services including operations and maintenance training, air balancing, and field testing at Building 2180. The work includes providing all materials, labor, permits, insurance, and supervision. Respondents must submit a five-page intent to bid as prime, outline relevant past projects, resources and key personnel, and indicate business size and socioeconomic status, with responses directed to the specified email and subject line; discussions are not anticipated.

In the second notice, the focus shifts to maintaining and repairing the existing 20-ton Trane IntelliPak water-cooled chiller (ACU-1) at Building 2180, including startup services with operations and maintenance training, air and water balancing, and field testing to verify operation per the attached draft Performance Work Statement. Vendors are asked to provide similar five-page intent to bid, list relevant experience, resources and trade disciplines, and indicate business size and status; responses go to the same email, with the possibility that if insufficient small-business participation occurs, the project may be opened to unrestricted competition. The two notices present different scopes for the same project: replacement with an air-cooled unit versus maintenance/repair of the existing water-cooled unit, and one references a draft PWS while the other describes the expected tasks in more general terms.
