National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) 4TH FLOOR Renovation Project 040ADV-26-R-0016

The purpose of this pre?solicitation notice is to inform interested vendors of an upcoming solicitation anticipated for release on or about March 9, 2026. No response is required or requested at this time. The forthcoming solicitation will cover the renovation and construction work for the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) office space located on a portion of the fourth floor of the Government Publishing Office (GPO) complex in Washington DC. The project will involve substantial construction, renovation and modernization efforts in accordance with the government provided Architectural and Engineering (A&E) Design Specifications. Work will include demolition, structural modifications, and the installation of updated mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and fire protection systems to improve functionality and ensure compliance with applicable federal standards. Upon completion, the renovated area will feature modernized structural framing, upgrade building systems, and enhanced architectural finishes, fully addressing existing safety concerns and meeting current operational requirements.

The Agency Support Operations Business Unit for the Government Publishing Office (GPO) requires the construction and renovation of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) office occupying partial space on the 4th floor of Building A at the agency s main campus, located in Washington DC. The successful offeror will develop a complete proposal utilizing a detailed Statement of Work (SOW) and government-provided drawings. The Contractor will provide the labor, material, equipment, and supervision required for the construction and renovation aligned with the Architectural and Engineering (A&E) Design Specifications. This project includes demolition, structural modifications, installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, fire protection measures, and interior finishes to enhance functionality and compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
