A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses must be submitted to this email address: Becky.Delossantos@va.gov NATURE AND/OR DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT: The contractor shall provide a board Certified or board eligible Medical or Health Physicist to provide routine daily virtual, quarterly onsite coverage and on-site emergency coverage Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) services for the Fargo VA Health Care System (FVHCS), 365 days year, 24-hour coverage, and mileage, per diem and travel expenses should be included in all services solicitation. The FVHCS includes Fargo Medical Center and Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Minnesota, and North Dakota which have imaging services. Radiation Materials Licensing experience is a requirement. The Contractor shall furnish personnel to provide Radiation Safety Officer Duties to fulfill the Radiation Materials Licensing requirement as specified by the National Health Physics Program (NHPP). The contractor’s personnel serve as the RSO for the organization and for the comprehensive Radiation Safety Program for the Fargo VA Health Care System in Fargo ND.
