Summary

AI-generated · Dec 17, 2025

Qualified sources are being sought to supply a hydraulic pump unit (NSN 4320-01-561-7214, P/N 3032171-001) for use in the CH-47 Chinook helicopter. There is no solicitation issued now; this market research Sources Sought aims to determine if future procurement could be competitive or set aside for small business. Because the data needed to prepare a competitive solicitation is not available or obtainable, the acquisition is being pursued under FAR 6.302-1(a)(1) with only a limited number of responsible sources. The government invites participation from a broad range of small-business types and requires prequalification to be registered as a potential source.

Firms capable of becoming a qualified source would be responsible for the full manufacturing/production process and associated activities, including supply-chain management, logistics, forecasting of parts (with attention to long-lead items), obsolescence management, and final delivery, as well as recurring and nonrecurring engineering to support qualification. Inquiries for source approval should be directed through the designated government contact. This notice is informational and not a solicitation; responses are voluntary and not offers.
