Summary

AI-generated · Nov 21, 2025

NMESIS program seeks to sole-source to Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS to provide development, production, and sustainment for the NMESIS launcher’s Naval Strike Missile Launcher Unit, Weapon Control System, and related equipment. The government lacks the necessary technical data rights for the NLU, WCS, and missile interfaces, which would prevent a competitive procurement and ensure proper integration of subsystems.

This is informational and not a competitive solicitation. The contract will be pursued on a sole-source basis under authorities allowing only one responsible source. Interested parties may submit a capability statement within 15 calendar days demonstrating interest and capability; all submissions become government property and will not be returned. The award is anticipated in the third quarter of FY2026 with a multi-year period of performance through 2034.
