INTRODUCTION Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC (BEA), the Management and Operating Contractor of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) owned Idaho National Laboratory (INL), is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from potential offerors for the design and replacement of five Primary Coolant System heat exchangers at the Advanced Test Reactor Complex (ATR Complex). Interested parties are nuclear certified and qualified prior to submitting their EOI. BACKGROUND The five primary coolant system heat exchangers at the Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) require replacement due to aging. These essential U-tube, counter-current, crossflow, single-phase heat transfer (liquid-to-liquid) units facilitate the transfer of heat from the primary coolant system (PCS) to the secondary coolant system (SCS), ultimately leading to the cooling tower. Their efficient operation is critical to reactor functionality. PROCESS The selected subcontractor will be responsible for the design, procurement, and oversight of the installation during the replacement of ATR s five heat exchangers.
