The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) is currently completing the design of the Upper Wide Angle Viewing (UWAV) diagnostic system for ITER. We are herewith issuing draft procurement documentation for manufacture of the main UWAV subsystems. We expect to issue three RFPs, with open calls for proposals, by May, 2026. Our purpose now is to make information available for review by potential suppliers, and to provide an opportunity for advance preparation by those who may be interested in submitting an offer once the RFPs are issued. It is not necessary to respond to this notice to remain eligible to submit an offer, or for any other reason. However, we invite voluntary comments or questions based on these documents. We especially welcome suggestions to improve the clarity of the Statements of Work, or the requirements. We will not respond directly to the enquirer, but we may post questions and our responses publicly if we deem that doing so would be generally helpful; PPPL will not reveal the identity of the enquirer. A request to receive a copy of any documents referenced in the Statements of Work, or in the Current Reference List, may also be submitted. Please direct all comments or questions electronically via e-mail to Khalif Stripling, kstripli@pppl.gov. When responding please reference PPPL RFI_26_012_KS UWAVS In-Vessel Subsystem in the subject line.
