Summary

Plan to host an in-person Air-Launched Weapons Aircraft Integration Summit (ALWAIS) to discuss reducing barriers to integrating air-launched munitions with Naval aircraft, with a primary focus on the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. The event will feature technical briefings from PMA-201 and PMA-265, exploring approaches to accelerate integration milestones, enable early discovery, and lower integration risk, including common clearance requirements for testing or operating on Navy platforms. Attendees will hear about collaboration processes with test squadrons like VX-23 and potential engagement with NAWCAD/NAWCWD and related program offices, and will see static displays, weapons loading demonstrations, and facilities tours.

Attendance is restricted to U.S. contractors or subcontractors holding a final SECRET clearance and currently performing on a weapons-focused DoD contract with a SECRET-level DD254. Company representation is limited to two attendees, on a first-come, first-served basis, with registration closing once capacity is reached or a set deadline. To participate, attendees must complete Eventbrite registration and obtain security clearance via the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), then confirm via email once clearance is verified. The exact venue and full agenda will be provided only to registered, cleared, need-to-know personnel. This is an informational planning event with no solicitation or reimbursement of attendee costs.

SUMMARY This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) notice for planning purposes only. This RFI is issued as notification of an upcoming Air-Launched Weapons Aircraft Integration Summit (ALWAIS) - and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB), a Request for Proposal (RFP), a Request for Quote (RFQ) or an indication that the Government will contract for any items and/or services identified or discussed in response to this notice. No solicitation documents exist at this time. Participation in this RFI or the ALWAIS is neither mandatory nor is it requisite to future participation by a contractor in any potential future solicitations/contracts. On behalf of Program Executive Officer, Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons (PEO(U&W)) and Navy Test Wing Atlantic (NTWL), the Precision Strike Weapons Program Office (PMA-201) and Air Test & Evaluation Squadron Twenty-Three (VX-23) are planning to host the PMA-201/VX-23 ALWAIS 2025 for interested parties. The focus of this PMA-201/VX-23 ALWAIS 2025 is to reduce the barriers to Naval aircraft integration across the air-launched weapons enterprise. The planned agenda will provide participants with increased understanding of the technical approach to integrating air-launched munitions with Naval aircraft, with primary emphasis on the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. The technical briefings will include experts both from PMA-201 and from the F/A-18 and E/A-18G Program Office (PMA-265). Attendees will also hear about the business processes associated with collaborating with test squadrons like VX-23, expanding the opportunity space for integration discovery beyond formal program-of-record activities. Industry parties with interest in future opportunities with Navy air-launched weapons, including collaboration with NAWCAD, NAWCWD, PMA-201, PMA-242, or PMA-259, are encouraged to take advantage of this engagement.
