Sources Sought Synopsis for Planning Purposes. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis and Request for Information (RFI) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.215-3 --Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997). The purpose of this Sources Sought Synopsis is for market research, capability to perform and to determine offeror interest. This scope of work is for maintenance on Paint Booth, Blast Booth, Blast Cabinet, and Paint-Gun Cleaner located at 435 CTS, Bldg. 713. a. Background: The Government is conducting market research to identify companies as potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to respond to the requirements competently and competitively. The contractor shall provide maintenance on Paint Booth, Blast Booth, Blast Cabinet, and Paint-Gun Cleaner located at 435 CTS, Bldg. 713 IAW the manufacturer s recommended schedules to ensure reliable and continuous safe operation. The maintenance shall be performed IAW standard commercial practices, technical guidelines and the manufacturer s most current recommendations. The contractor shall submit maintenance reports, as shown in paragraph 1.5 of PWS. Only companies/personnel trained/certified and authorized by the manufacturer for the service as required shall perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Please See attached PWS a. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this synopsis or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in FAR 31.205-18, Bid and Proposal costs. Companies responding to this market research are advised that participation does not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparation or participation in this research. The contractor shall provide all non-personal services, management, tools, supplies, and labor necessary to perform maintenance and repairs of all equipment listed in the "Instruction to Offers" section of the RFQ and appendices of the PWS at the 435 CTS in a manner that will ensure safe and continuous operation. The intent of this contract is the safe operation and to avoid major repairs through the implementation of routine maintenance. a. Background: The Government is soliciting a Request for Quotation to identify companies as potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to respond to the requirements competently and competitively.
