SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions. SLAC has a requirement for a U.S. domestic end item source of the following: - Qty-1 Energy / pulse > 5 mJ Technical Evaluation Criteria - Wavelength tuning range: 3000-3450 nm (controllable through computer) - Repetition rate: 20 Hz - Able to fire single shots on demand - Synchronizable to external timing source - Compactness (fits within area ~ 1 square foot) - Divergence: <10 mrad - Pulse width: 5-7 ns - Pulse-to-pulse stability < 2% - Flashlamp lifetime: >50,000,000 shots - Beam diameter: 4 mm (4 sigma) - Integrated alignment laser - Turn key operation - Integrated pump laser - Closed-loop water cooling - Able to be moved simply between different labs The award will be made based upon the attached Lowest Price Technically Acceptable method best lead time.
