The 673d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska, intends to award a firm fixed price, sole-source contract under the authority of FAR 19.1506(b) to GigaBiter LLC, a certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB). The proposed contract action is for the procurement of a Shredder/Media Destroyer capable of destroying IT equipment to such a degree that allows classified/SAP media to be destroyed IAW DoDM 5205.07 and the NSA Evaluated Products List. This acquisition is being conducted in accordance with the WOSB Set-Aside Program, specifically targeting underutilized WOSB vendors capable of meeting the government s requirements. After thorough market research and evaluation, it has been determined that GigaBiter LLC is the only known source that can provide the required item/ with the necessary specifications, and technical capability. The 3rd Wing requires an industrial shredder capable of destroying SAP IT at an appropriate level where it can be thrown away without cause for concern.
