Summary

AI-generated · Aug 25, 2025

Replace the entire fleet of surgical tables at the NIH Clinical Center with equipment that is fully compatible with the da Vinci XI Surgical Robot. Current tables are aging (many over 18 years old) and require frequent repairs, creating risks to patient safety and clinical operations. The new tables must allow the robot to remain docked with instruments while the table is repositioned during surgery, a capability not available in other competing tables. A part list outlining required items is attached.

Sole-source justification identifies Hill-Rom as the only known vendor offering fully compatible tables for the da Vinci XI robot. The procurement will use simplified acquisition procedures, and the government may consider competitive opportunities if capable vendors submit a capability statement for consideration; any decision to compete remains at the government’s discretion.
