Summary

AI-generated · Mar 09, 2026

The acquisition is for one spare submersible pump rated for 20 cfs at 13.03 feet Total Dynamic Head, to be supplied by MWI Corporation as a brand-name item. The original pumps and pump cans were custom designed and manufactured by MWI, and the pumps and can assembly were engineered as an integrated system for Pump Station S-703.

Because the geometry, tolerances, and hydraulic design are unique to this facility, alternate pumps would not be compatible without modification. Therefore, MWI is determined to be the only responsible source, and the requirement will not be solicited competitively (brand-name only under FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii)). No solicitation will be posted and no telephone requests will be welcomed; questions about this opportunity or future acquisitions may be directed to the indicated points of contact.
