Summary

AI-generated · Jan 03, 2026

Maintenance services are required for three InVivo/Philips MRI patient monitors in the NIH Clinical Center RADIS area, to be provided under a firm-fixed-price contract. The items to be serviced are three MR Patient Care Portal 5000 units, three Expression MR400 monitors, and three F07 Basic modules (AA, O2, IBP x2, Temp) plus one Performance Assurance.

This is a sole-source requirement: only the original equipment manufacturer (InVivo/Philips) can provide the proper maintenance. No alternative sources are available, and failure to maintain these monitors could disrupt accurate patient vital sign monitoring. The action is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures, with interested parties invited to identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting by the stated closing date.

The impact of not providing a maintenance contract would be a disruption in providing safe patient care. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.
