The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The period of performance shall be from 22 Sept. 2025 21 Sep. 2026. This is a non-personal services contract to provide maintenance and support for single-ply cutters Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS&IMF) Shop 64 Sail Loft owned GERBERcutterZ1 (Qty 2): Services include semiannual maintenance services, remote/phone support, onsite support, and software updates for the equipment. INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - Gerber Technology or its parent company, Lectra, are the only authorized serviced providers in the United States of America for Gerber-manufactured equipment and software. Proper maintenance and upkeep of Gerber Technology manufactured equipment and software requires proprietary rights/information exclusive to the OEM and its parent company. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) has been determined to be 334118 - Computer Terminal and Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing with a large business size standard of 1000 employees. The Product Service Code for this acquisition is L036 Technical Representative- Special Industry Machinery. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; no solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 24 July 2025 at 2:00 PM Pacific Time. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with subject line stating - RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FOR N4523A51643240 A determination to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. PSNS and IMF Contracting Office (Code 400) will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine if a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. All documents submitted will not be returned.
