Summary

AI-generated · Jun 11, 2026

NIH Clinical Center intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole-source purchase to Antech for the Element HT5+ Veterinary Hematology Analyzer to be used in the Quezado Lab. The upgraded HT5+ is needed to continue experiments under the same conditions, providing fast, precise reticulocyte measurement and additional data points for blood composition that the current setup cannot substitute.

This procurement will be conducted under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), because only one source is reasonably available. No solicitation will be issued and quotations will not be requested. If other parties have interest or capabilities, they may identify them by June 17, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. EST, by contacting Kristin Nagashima at NIH, with responses referencing this posting.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a fixed price purchase order to Antech, located at 7985 Vance Drive, STE 307, Arvada, CO 80003, on a firm fixed price sole source award basis to provide the blood analyzer to the National Institutes of Health. The machine cannot be substituted for any other device, as we have been using Antech s CBC machine (the HT5) for many years- and continuing experimentation using the same conditions and analysis is imperative. Obtaining the upgraded model will ensure continued accurate measuring of blood parameters, as well as offers the innovative technology of fast and precise reticulocyte measuring, increasing laboratory throughput.
