This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs network Contracting Office NCO2, on behalf of James J. Peter s VA Medical Center has a brand name only requirement for GE Healthcare AISYS CS2 Anesthesia Systems as detailed below. This action is restricted to GE brand systems due to the need for compatibility with existing equipment. Market research was conducted in accordance with FAR Part 10 for compatible systems, these efforts failed to produce additional options. GE Healthcare is the exclusive manufacturer of the AISYS CS2 Anesthesia Systems and has identified one (1) authorized distributor service-disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB) to fulfill this requirement; TrillaMed, LLC. In accordance with FAR Part 8.405-6, it has been determined that only one source is reasonably available, and a sole source award can be made under the Veterans Administration Acquisition Regulations (VAAR) at 819.7008, and in accordance with the Veterans First Contracting Program at VAAR 819.7001. Veterans Health Administration prohibits the use of gray market items in their Medical Centers. This notice is not a request for quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the Government. All capability statements must be received by no later than 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on July 16, 2025.
