Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source - Tech Camera Upgrades 106925A9919

The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Global Acquisitions, Acquisition Management Directorate, Office of Diplomatic Mission Support, Office of Security, Security Staffing and Countermeasures Division (GA/AMD/DMS/SEC/SSC) intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to Van Cleave & Associates, Inc for Tech Camera Upgrades for DS/CTS/CTI/CIF. The primary objective of this acquisition is to purchase specialized equipment to replace end of life, outdated equipment that no longer meets necessary security requirements and is no longer supported by the manufacturer for firmware updates. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) for purchases where only one source is reasonably available. The required items are commercial, and not all items are available via GSA or NASA SEWP. Of those that are, pricing was found to be higher than that proposed by the vendor. Market research confirmed the vendor is the only known source able to deliver all required items as a single package. The anticipated award date is on or around August 1, 2025. **All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.** See attachment for list of items, manufacturer and part numbers, descriptions, and quantities needed for this requirement.
