Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source – Intrusion Detection System Update 14974

The United States Air Force intends to award a sole source contract to SDS Construction for Intrusion Detection System Update, in support of 309 Software Engineering Group's (SWEG) 555 Software Engineering Squadron (SWES)/MXDPDB needs to replace the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) in Building 2721, Bay D. The Bay is scheduled for Classified use starting February 2026. The current IDS does not adhere to the mandatory standards set by the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) for use as a Classified Processing Area (CPA). The current hardware needs to be removed and approved hardware installed before Bay D can be used as a CPA. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
