The Defense Health Agency (DHA) intends to award a sole source contract to Anatomical Services, University of California San Diego to provide Fresh or Fresh Frozen Cadavers to the Naval Medical Center, San Diego for purposes of conducting Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma training for Military Physicians and Surgeons as part of the Emergency War Surgery Course, hosted by Defense Medical Readiness Training Institute. 2. Background: This Individual Justification is submitted to award a sole source contract to Anatomical Services, San Diego, CA to provide DHA Cadaver Specimens for required training. Market research determined that Anatomical Services University of California, San Diego is the only responsible source capable of providing the required quantity of fresh/fresh frozen cadaver specimens within the required timeframe due to their geographic proximity to Naval Medical Center San Diego and their ability to ensure timely, coordinated deliveries in support of scheduled training dates. Additionally, confirmation of specimen availability will be dependent on required course dates of Navy Medical Center, University of California, San Diego, 2026. This contract will be Firm-Fixed Price. Additionally, this contemplated contract would be awarded to Anatomical Services, San Diego, CA. 3. Description: DHA seeks to award a sole source contract to the Anatomical Services, San Diego, CA. to provide Cadaver Specimens for Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma Training for Military Physicians and Surgeons at Navy Medical Center, Center, San Diego, CA. 4. NAICS Code: The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 621991 with the size standard of $35M. The Federal Supply Code (FSC)/Product Service Code (PSC) 6515, procurement is Medical & Surgical Instruments and Supplies.
