PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Nashville District (LRN) is acquiring a service contract to furnish all labor, materials, safety equipment and equipment to perform all work for renting, erecting, and dismantling two (2) separate Stair Tower Scaffolding System & four (4) scaffold/ work platform with pick boards, handrails, toe boards and access walkways. SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The anticipated release date for this solicitation is June 2025. The Schedules and Specifications will be available at the time of solicitation release. SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Offerors must be successfully registered (and active) in the SAM, www.sam.gov, in order to receive a Government contract award. Offerors’ must have their representations and certifications available on-line in SAM or provide them with their proposal in order to receive a Government contract award. Offerors should also have their EFT information updated on their SAM account – all financial information is ONLY shared with financial systems and cannot be accessed by any other entity. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Effective March 22, 2018, new entities that are registering in SAM must submit an original, signed notarized letter identifying the authorized entity’s Administrator that is authorized to register the entity in the SAM database, or to make changes to its registration. Update FAR Provision 52.252-3, Alterations in Solicitation. ********************************************************************************** The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Nashville District (LRN) is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) Commercial Services Contract for the rental, erecting, and dismantling of two (2) separate Stair Tower Scaffolding System and four (4) scaffold work platform with pick boards, handrails, toe boards, and access walkways. The first stair towers will be approximately 86 feet in height from lock chamber floor to top of lock wall on the upstream of the main lock chamber, The upstream scaffold shall have a step off platform for personnel access to the upper miter sill which is 57’ above the chamber floor then continuing to the top of the lock wall. Scaffolding shall be anchored into concrete walls and floors with masonry anchors. The downstream scaffold shall be built from the chamber floor to the top of the lock wall. Scaffold shall have a step off platform for personnel access to the lower closure (Caisson) which is approximately 28’6” above the chamber floor then continuing to the top of the lock wall Scaffolding shall be anchored into concrete walls and floors with masonry anchors. Scaffolding/ Work platform for 4 culvert valves shall be erected in a 15’ X 15’ chambered culvert, 2 each on the riverside wall and 2 each on the landside wall. Dimension of the work platform built to a working level of approximately 16’ tall, 14’-6” length and 7’ width. Work platform shall have heavy duty wheeled casters to make it mobile while in service. All scaffolding systems shall be built and placed under the direction of the Lock Master or Technical POC. USACE will provide crane, crane operator and qualified rigging personnel to stage equipment.
