This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 and applicable FAR Parts 13/15. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Description / Requirement The NIH Clinical Center requires a contractor to provide comprehensive mortuary services for both indigent and non-indigent research participants. Services include removal, preparation, funeral services, cremation, burial, and domestic/international shipment of remains. Services must accommodate diverse religious and cultural practices. This contract action was awarded using competitive procedures in accordance with FAR Part 15. The resulting contract is an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Due to the indefinite quantity and ordering structure, the contract is not firm-fixed-price at the contract level; however, individual task or delivery orders may be issued on a firm-fixed-price basis. The maximum ceiling amount for this contract is $750,000.00.
