Summary

AI-generated · Sep 09, 2025

Identify vendors capable of mold remediation and reinsulation aboard the USCGC PATOKA (WLR 75408) in Greenville, MS. The scope covers removing existing insulation, wood supports, and bulkhead panels in designated spaces; performing mold remediation with industry-standard methods approved by federal/state agencies; conducting surface and air-quality mold testing to verify remediation; installing new insulation with no air gaps between false bulkheads and bulkheads; installing new aluminum bulkhead panels; reinstalling electrical and related interferences (outlets, lighting, alarms, speakers, switches); and conducting post-repair testing to ensure proper air quality and habitable conditions. Mold is present in berthing and common areas due to prior gaps and condensation-related rust on incorrect steel paneling, so the work aims to restore air quality and livability.

Qualified vendors should demonstrate marine or shipboard mold remediation experience, insulation removal and installation per ASTM F683 and NAVSEA Drawing 804-5959214, and bulkhead panel installation per Coast Guard specs. Responses should include company information, capabilities, certifications, and past performance on similar shipboard projects; a technical approach detailing mold remediation methods, testing plans, and proposed insulation and panel materials; and a rough cost range (ROM). This is market research, not a solicitation or binding contract, and responses are not offers. Submit the response via email by the stated deadline with the required subject line.

Purpose The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) is conducting market research to identify qualified vendors capable of performing mold remediation and reinsulation services aboard the USCGC PATOKA (WLR 75408) in Greenville, MS.
