MJU-76B Pre-solicitation Synopsis FA821326RB005

This is a Pre-solicitation notice for an anticipated upcoming procurement of MJU-76/B Thrusted Flares production. The government anticipates awarding two Multiple Award Contracts (MAC) IDIQ, concurrently with the first Delivery Orders. This requirement is anticipated to be other than full and open competition with limited sources, FAR 6.302-1, Armtec and Chemring (CAGE 3DU30 & Z3487, respectively). All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. See attached Draft Solicitation for details. This notice will be updated to include a near Final Draft RFP, which the government is requesting offeror feedback.

Update: At this time, the USAF believes this solicitation will be competitive with qualified offerors. In the event only one bid is received, Certified Cost or Pricing Data may be requested. This Presolicitation notice is updated to correct an earlier provided government Draft RFP response, see below correction. Correction from: Contractors awarded an IDIQ contract are contractually committed to bid to RFP requests to: Contractors are not obligated to propose to Request for Order Proposals; however contractors are obligated to perform awarded Delivery Orders.
