Summary

AI-generated · Oct 09, 2025

Leasing and maintenance of clothes washers and dryers for Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego BEQ residents is being explored to determine if there are qualified firms capable of providing these services. About 192 appliances across 12 buildings will be needed to support roughly 5,000 recruits, with no elevator access requiring delivery and service via stairs; historically there are around 10 service calls per week.

Contractors would be responsible for leasing the units and performing ongoing maintenance. The government end users identify unserviceable equipment, and the contractor must complete repairs within 48 hours of notification (72 hours if a weekend or Federal holiday is involved). This is a market research activity to gauge interest and capability.

The RCO MCI-West is issuing this Sources Sought (SS) as a means of conducting market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of qualified businesses interested in and capable of leasing and maintaining clothing washers and dryers.
