Summary

AI-generated · May 30, 2026

Install subsurface pond aeration for an Air Park pond, including mounting a rotary vane compressor cabinet on a foundation next to the sidewalk, modifying the sidewalk to remove a 24-inch-wide section, trenching beneath the sidewalk to pass four air hoses, and routing a 6-inch pipe under the sidewalk with fittings to connect to the valve box and cabinet. Replace the existing valve cover with a larger unit, backfill the trench, and assemble weighted airline to a manifold inside the cabinet. Distribute subsurface double diffusers across the pond using the weighted airlines, and test the diffusers and valves. Debris disposal is the contractor’s responsibility. Construct a reinforced concrete pad (4,000 psi) with zinc threaded rods to anchor the cabinet, and use existing 120V electrical service. Equipment and materials include a concrete cutoff saw, coring drill, a larger valve cover, 6-inch pipe and fittings, drain conduit, poly pipe, a locking cabinet, diffusers, a PA75AD rotary vane compressor with a four-zone manifold, and related tubing.

Respondents should complete and return the attached sources sought form with bonding capability and information on capabilities and past performance related to the projected work. If small-business competition is not adequate, the project may be advertised as unrestricted. Provide responses with the subject line “Sources Sought Air Park Pond Aeration.”

Cut sidewalk and break up a 24 wide section for removal. Dig trench under sidewalk and core out the wall larger to pass 4 air hoses through - a minimum of 4 inches. Install a 6 pipe under the sidewalk and adjacent to the existing valve cover. Couple a 6 elbow and use 4 drain conduit to stub it up adjacent to the electricals in the valve box through the side, and to the back of the steel cabinet on the concrete pad. Replace valve cover with a new, larger unit. Fill in the trench and assemble the lengths of weighted airline connected to manifold valve assembly in cabinet. Via watercraft, distribute subsurface double diffusers across the pond, with weighted airlines attached to the diffusers. Test diffusers with valves. The contractor will be responsible for disposal of debris. Concrete: Pour reinforced concrete pad with (4) zinc threaded rod, sized for soundproof locking steel cabinet, installed on leveled foundation adjacent to sidewalk around pond. A minimum of 4,000 psi concrete will be used. Electrical: Use existing 120V electrical at the site. Equipment: Concrete handheld cut-off saw, coring power drill. Materials: Pro-spec large valve cover and bolt, 6 pipe, 6 elbow, 4 corrugated drainpipe, 100 x 3/4 poly pipe, fan-cooled locking cabinet, (4) 10 double diffusers, PA75AD hp rotary vane compressor with 4 zone manifold assembly, and ID Quick Sink Tubing.
