MARKET SURVEY FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF VALENCE 24VOLT BATTERIES, (PART NUMBER U27-24V88XP). THIS MARKET SURVEY IS TO ASSIST WITH DETERMINING COMMERCIAL AVAILABILITY OF THESE BATTERIES WHICH ARE USED FOR PRIMARY POWER GENERATION FOR THE RELOCATABLE TOWER (RT) SYSTEMS FOR CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION (CBP). This is a market survey for information and comments from industry that will aid in the formation of an acquisition strategy for the purchase of 145 Valence 24v batteries, part number U27-24V88XP. This is a crucial component of the CBP Relocatable Tower System power generation infrastructure. At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran- owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest, capabilities, and rough orders of magnitude (cost estimates) from businesses interested in and capable of providing the required material and services per the requirements/specifications listed. Respondents to this market survey are encouraged to provide comments regarding the government s approach to this requirement. This market survey is also being conducted to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the potential acquisition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. Number of years in business. List existing government contracts that are available to provide requested item. Expected programmatic approach (in-house, teaming, subcontracting, etc.) - Respondents must provide their strategy for providing the specific batteries and quantity be requested. No substitutions or form, fix, function recommendations will be considered. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source using single source procedures. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source, one-time, Firm Fixed Price contract, for items listed below. Design, article 1 and article 2 testing, and fabrication of thirty-one (31) weather caps for the new SMR-4 system as part of the Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS). All design and testing must be completed no later than 02/20/2026. Market Research supports the determination that D&D is the only source available to provide the design, testing, and farbircation within the required timeframe.
