Summary

AI-generated · Sep 04, 2025

FAA is conducting a market survey to assess whether vendors can provide janitorial services, including window cleaning, for about 20 FAA facilities across Northern and Southern Alaska. The goal is to understand the current marketplace and determine what level of competition exists to decide if a future procurement should be set aside for certain groups (e.g., SEDB/8(a), small businesses) or pursued as full and open competition. This is for planning purposes only; no solicitation is issued at this time, and FAA will not pay respondents for information provided.

The required scope covers all labor, supplies, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation needed to clean designated spaces such as halls, restrooms, offices, work areas, entryways, and lobbies, including window cleaning, at multiple Alaska locations. Responses are voluntary and may result in a single consolidated contract or multiple contracts for the facilities. Submissions should be electronic and include basic company information, business-size status, and SAM registration; proprietary information should be clearly marked, and there is no obligation on FAA to issue a solicitation.

The Federal Aviation Administration, Seattle Regional Office, Acquisition Group, is conducting a Market Survey to improve the Government's understanding of the current marketplace and to identify capable sources. Interested sources must respond with information to confirm evidence of their qualifications and capabilities. Responses to this Market Survey will be used to determine if there is adequate competition to set the requirement aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB/8(a)), Small Businesses, or full and open competition. This survey is being conducted in accordance with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Section 3.2.1.2.1. This survey will support market research obtained from multiple sources and will be utilized for planning purposes only. Interested vendors are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this Market Survey/Request for Information. Therefore, any costs associated with vendor's Market Survey/Request for Information submissions will be solely at the interested vendor's expense. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK: A general description of the Scope of Work under the proposed contract will be that the Contractor must provide all labor, supplies, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to provide janitorial services, which include window cleaning services, in accordance with this specification. Janitorial services apply to all designated spaces including, but not limited to, halls, restrooms, offices, work areas, entryways, and lobbies at multiple FAA facilities/locations in Alaska. The NAICS is 561720, Janitorial Services. There are no attachments at this time. Facility Locations: Approximately 20 FAA facilities/locations in the Northern and Southern regions of Alaska. RESPONSE TO THIS MARKET SURVEY: Any information provided in response to this Market Survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation in any informational session is not a promise or guarantee of future business with the FAA. The Market Survey may or may not result in a solicitation for one consolidated contract of all facilities/locations OR in a solicitation for multiple contracts for those facilities/locations. Response submittals must include the following information: a) Name of company, including DBA name b) Address c) Phone d) Point of contact e) Email address f) Business size status: 8(a), Small Business, SDVOSB, VSB, etc. g) Verification of active registration in the contractor database, System for Award Management (SAM) While a response to this Market Survey is not required, it is helpful to the agency in determining the best acquisition approach and what set-aside, if any, may be utilized. Response submittals, including attachments, must be submitted electronically and received in the email inbox of: Angela.Furukawa@faa.gov by 4:00 PM, Pacific Time, on September 25, 2025. No phone call questions.
