The designated contractor, EEA, shall provide to the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst the manufacture and delivery of the Main Rotor Spindle Pry Bars (P/N SPB-60-RS, NSN 3040-01-722-4706). EAA Tools, LLC. is the OEM, sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Main Rotor Spindle Pry Bar. The Main Rotor Spindle Pry Bar securely attaches to spindle damper mount and provides required leverage and stability to manipulate main rotor spindle assembly on aircraft for various maintenance requirements to include access to spindle mounts bolts and pitch control rod removal/re-installation. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. However, thebGovernment will consider all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for an award of a contract.
