This is a sources sought. This sources sought neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government from an ultimate acquisition approach. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) is seeking sources to provide an M3A high energy Xray machine. All interested sources shall provide a company brochure or list of capabilities, product literature, organization name, address, a point of contact, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, business size, taxpayer identification number, UEI number, and CAGE Code. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) has a requirement for two (2) M3A high energy Xray machines. The requirement includes the associated power supplies, collimators, control consoles, and cabling. NSWC IHD intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Varex Imaging Corporation, located at 6811 Spencer Street, Las Vegas, Nevada 89119. The NAICS code is 334517 and the PSC code is 6635. NSWC IHD requires these specific machines for continuity of production support and leveraging of expertly trained radiological support. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
