This is a pre-solicitation notice and not a request for quotes, bids, or proposals. The purpose of this is to give industry a heads-up that a requirement will be forthcoming. A solicitation will be posted that includes further requirement specifications and contract terms and conditions. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Paul District has a requirement for a contractor to deliver mixed concrete to the Minnesota-side of the spillway located at Lock and Dam 8 in Genoa, WI. These deliveries will take place during the winter months (November 1 March 1) over a two-year period and will require backing across the 20 wide Reno spillway. Minimum quantity will be 350 cubic yards but could increase to up to 450 cubic yards. Deliveries will be in 30-yard batches (+/- 10%) delivered to the work site. It is estimated that this project will be solicited within the next week. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project will be 327320, Ready-Mix Concrete Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 employees. The resulting contract shall be a Firm, Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The solicitation shall be a Total Small Business set-aside. The solicitation will be a request for quote (RFQ). This synopsis is not a request for quotes, proposals, or bids.
