Summary

AI-generated · Feb 18, 2026

Fabrication of a Life Certification Oven Manifold (LCOM) per Y-12 specifications/drawings is sought, comprising a vacuum gas-analysis manifold integrated with a mass spectrometer and controlled by a PLC cabinet. The project is organized as two banks of six ovens, with three leak-manifold mobile cart systems per bank. LCOM #1 will include fabrication, programming, functional/testing, and integration testing with operational programming, and the control system (PLC cabinet) serving a bank of three manifolds and six ovens must be submitted for approval before fabrication. The base scope envisions options to complete the remaining five carts with a second PLC and electrical control cabinet. Access to the installation location requires Q clearance, but work itself does not require Q clearance and all drawings are unclassified; a defined production/delivery window is anticipated.

This is a Request for Information (RFI) for information and planning purposes only, not a solicitation or commitment. Responses are due by the stated deadline. Vendors should show welding capability including Welding Procedure Specifications, Procedure Qualification Records, Welder Performance Qualifications, procedures for control of filler material, welding visual examination and NDE procedures, and post-weld heat treatment procedures with tracking, along with a Supplier Quality Assurance Manual. Experience with government contracts is preferred, and it is noted that CNS will not pay for information or respondent costs.
