The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate multiple year, sole source, firm-fixed-price contract with LEEDS Precision Instruments, Inc., located at 17300 Medina Rd., Suite 600, Minneapolis, MN. 55447. This contract is for the purchase of LEEDS extended warranty and software upgrades for Evofinder System 848. The FBI, Laboratory Division (LD), intends to purchase LEEDS Evofinder System 848 extended warranty and software updates. This ensure preventive maintenance needs, instrument failures, instrument upgrades, and other necessary items are addressed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Per the manufacturer, Leeds Precision Instruments, Inc. is the exclusive dealer for the Evofinder Automated Ballistic Identification System (BIS), including and all associated hardware, software, and after sales support of the Evofinder system, including extended warranties, in the United States and Canada. Justification available upon request. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's System for Awards Management website (www.SAM.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure they have the most upto-date information about this acquisition. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, per FAR 5.207(16)(ii) all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
