The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District (USACE) will be soliciting a proposal for the construction of the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Gray Army Airfield Power Generation and Microgrid Construction. As part of the construction contract solicitation, the USACE intends to include the following sole source requirement: City Light & Power JBLM LLC - City Light & Power JBLM LLC will construct a microgrid system at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) Gray Army Airfield (GAAF) powered by natural gas-fired (NG) Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engine (RICE) generators totaling approximately 3.2 Mega Watt (MW) of generation and approximately 4 MW / 4 MWh Energy Storage System (ESS). The project will support 2.8MW of load, or 100% of GAAF critical facilities, providing self-sufficient backup power capability for a minimum of 14 days in the event of a commercial grid outage. *This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals*
