DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION November 21, 2025 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE-SOURCE Steris Medivator AERs Maintenance & Repairs 36C25026Q0135 The Saginaw VA Medical Center (VAMC) requires maintenance and repair services for Steris Medivator Automated Endoscope Reprocessors (AER) Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10 intends to issue a sole-source solicitation to Steris Corporation, 5960 Heisley Road, Mentor, OH 44060, for maintenance and repairs of Medivator AERs. Steris is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Sole-Sourced Authorized Service Provider for all of their equipment and services, including the Medivator AERs under this requirement. Per Steris proprietary letter, STERIS is the sole factory-authorized supplier of parts and service for the equipment we manufacture, including products under the brand names of AMSCO, Finn Aqua, HAMO, Black Diamond Video, Medisafe and Cantel/Medivator. All replacement parts manufactured or marketed by STERIS are compliant with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications. These parts are sold and shipped directly to the end user of the products. STERIS does not utilize a distributor model. STERIS has over 950 trained personnel who maintain our equipment through preventive maintenance agreements assuring STERIS-manufactured equipment continues to operate in compliance with OEM specifications. This procurement, therefore, is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811210, and the Small Business Administration Size Standard is $34.0 Million. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of fully meeting the requirements may submit a quote, which may be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that the responding company can meet the requirements of the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
