The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR Part 13. A Sole Source Justification has been prepared. Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC is the sole source provider of the Millenium HX Reverse Osmosis (RO) machine and its replacement components, as well as the CWP 100 H/S unit and its replacement components. The maintenance needed for the equipment are not provided in distribution channels or through OEMs. Therefore, these processes can only be provided by Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC. This requirement is for ongoing services of Dialysis Reverse Osmosis System and Equipment Maintenance Services at the Birmingham Veteran Affairs Medical Center located in Birmingham, AL. The services at the facility are necessary to purify water by removing organic and inorganic contaminants, including microorganisms, to produce high-quality, safe water for hemodialysis treatments and the formulation of dialysate. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, Contractors may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the contracting officer whether to continue with the sole source procurement or to provide for competition.
