This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a solicitation. The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with: Tecniplast USA Inc. PO BOX 1209 West Chester, PA 19380 UEI QHF3J4MS24H4 This is not a request for quotes. The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Tecniplast USA Inc., to schedule annual PM Service for the Tecniplast Rack Washer and Bottle Filler for the use in our Veterinary Medical unit (VMU) on floor 1 of the Freedom building (Building 44). The PM will be performed by Tecniplast service engineers. Tecniplast service engineers are trained and certified to perform PM on the Tecniplast equipment.. Tecniplast is the only manufacturer authorized to provide upgrades, service, and maintenance on their systems. Tecniplast does not sell to third party vendors, nor do they allow third party vendors to add components to their system, nor provide any service or maintenance on their systems. This is done because of the proprietary nature of their coding and programming. Due to the proprietary nature of the system software, no other company possesses the knowledge necessary to maintain and validate the system. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contracting Opportunities on SAM.gov. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS is 811310. The size standard is$12.5M.
