Summary

AI-generated · Aug 24, 2025

Fire alarm testing services are required at the Dayton VA Medical Center to test and inspect fire alarm panels and related security-detection systems across designated buildings, with all testing results and compliance reporting provided in Joint Commission format. The scope excludes buildings that are no longer in use (confirmed for 220, 225, 226, and 307), while Building 38 is tied to Building 128 and included in that report; Buildings 38 and 1301 are included in both quarterly and annual reporting, and the annual reports for these buildings are attached. Two newly added facilities, Buildings 1001 and 1302, each with a fire alarm panel, are estimated to contain about 12 devices apiece. The contract requires three quarterly reports and one annual report, and vendors must be SAM-registered to be eligible.

An amendment extended the solicitation deadline to allow time for vendor questions, and a subsequent Q&A clarified scope and reporting expectations (noting the in-scope and excluded buildings and the reporting cadence). A contract for fire alarm testing has been awarded to Integrated Protection Services, Inc. for $249,400.

Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office (NCO 10) has a requirement for Fire Alarm Testing Services at the Dayton VA Medical Center. Vendor questions and answers: Buildings 220, 225, 307, and 226 were explained as being abandoned, non-existent or not having systems installed. Can this be confirmed. There was missing paperwork for these buildings. If these buildings do have systems in need of inspection, can we get the inspection reports for them? Building 220, 225, 226, 307 are no longer in use and DO NOT need to be inspected. Buildings 38 and 1301 were listed on your quarterly report but not the annual report nor were they listed in the SOW. Can we get the annual paperwork for these or confirm that they should be further excluded? Building 38 is tied in to Building 128 and is included in the report for that building. Both Building 38 and 1301 are done quarterly and annually. The annual reports for both buildings are attached. There have been 2 buildings added to the system since the solicitation was posted, buildings 1001 and 1302. They are in the Cemetery next to Building 1301, and both building 1001 and 1302 have a Fire Alarm Panel in them. Since they are newly added, we are unsure of the device count but estimate 12 -/+ devices in each of the new buildings. We do also want to confirm the VA is expecting 3 not 4 quarterly reports and 1 annual report. Or would the government want the 4th quarterly submitted at the same time as the annual? All that is needed is 3 quarterly reports and 1 annual report. The reports are in Joint Commission format, and request when the reports are done, we receive them in that format.
