The Hampton VA Medical Center has a requirement for Robotic In-Service Ultrasonic Testing of Above Ground Fuel Storage Tank. The contractor is to facilitate for testing Integrity of welds and Tank Integrity in accordance with API 653 Standards. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this effort is 334519- Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing with the Size Standard of 600 Employees. If the Government determines there are qualified vendors for this requirement, a solicitation will be published and posted on the Contracting Opportunities website. The Government will use this information solely to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for this procurement. Questions in response to solicitation 36C24626Q0052 What is the location/address of the tanks? 100 Emancipation Drive Hampton Virginia 23667 Facility name? Hampton Veterans Administration Medical Center. Tank contents (please be specific)? #2 Diesel Tank Size including Height and Diameter? See Attachment How many tanks are needing inspected? One (1) #3, as stated in the Statement Of Work What is the size of the manway on the top of the tanks? See Attachment for size details. In what time frame are you wanting the tanks to be inspected? SOW 2.1 Stated in the Statement of Work (SOW) of Solicitation. Are you wanting the SP001/API-653 internal and/or external portion of the tank inspected? API 653 Do you have any Previous inspection reports of the tanks? Yes Can you provide us with Images of the tank, its access points, along with surrounding areas that we have to work with around the tanks? Pictures last section of Attachment Are blue prints of the tanks available? Please see attached. We request information on the manufacturer/type of robotic UT machine that is rated for full immersion into fuel oil. This information is expected to be provided by the offeror.
