Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research only to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of Small Businesses, including Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB/VOSB), who are interested in submitting proposals for this procurement and who can perform the work required for this procurement. NCO 21 is requesting responses from qualified business concerns; the qualifying NAICS code for this effort is 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. Background: The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking contractors to provide inspection, preventive maintenance, repair, and emergency service of all automatic and fire-rated pedestrian doors installed at various VA Northern California Health Care System sites. Contractors must demonstrate their ability to meet all requirements listed in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). Scope of Work Overview: Introduction: This project encompasses the maintenance of automatic and fire-rated pedestrian doors at multiple VA Northern California Health Care System locations. Scope: Provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to complete inspection, maintenance, and repair of automatic sliding and swinging doors, low- and high-energy operators, motion and presence sensors, control and access systems, and fire-rated pedestrian doors. General Requirements: Compliance with ANSI/BHMA standards, NFPA codes, California Building and Fire Codes, and VA regulations. AAADM certification for technicians or equivalent experience. Maintenance logs, coordination with the VA COR, and annual fire door inspection per NFPA 80. Preventive Maintenance: Quarterly and annual preventive maintenance tasks, including inspection, adjustment, cleaning, and testing of door components. Unscheduled Maintenance and Repairs: Additional work requests, quotes, and approvals for repairs outside the regular schedule. Corrective Maintenance & Repairs: Response times for repair service calls during business hours and emergency after-hours service.
