Summary

AI-generated · Jun 11, 2026

A one-year contract to inspect and repair the VA WCHCS fire suppression system, addressing deficiencies that have been identified and documenting the repairs for a Joint Commission audit. This is a new requirement with no incumbent.

Scope includes correcting identified deficiencies and producing the required documentation, plus performing a 5-year internal piping inspection that removes flushing connections and a sprinkler near the end of a branch line, with photographic evidence. The contractor must verify sizes for OS&Y valves (listed as 8", 3", 2.5", and 6"), and determine sizes for inspector/test valves and the flow switch, as those are not specified in the report. Antifreeze/glycol loops are located in Buildings 6 and 36; Building 44 has alarms but no sprinklers; Building 34 currently shows a network deficiency tag that is being addressed. The contractor will also provide copies of attached reports and work with existing reporting requirements to fulfill the Joint Commission audit. Offers must be submitted by the stated deadline.

The purpose of this amendment is to: Provide questions, answers and reports provided under previous solicitation (36C25926Q0408).
