A retrofit of an electrofishing boat is required, utilizing the Infinity Control Box system and MLES-certified electrofishing boats. Midwest Lake Management, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of these components, so they are the only provider capable of completing the retrofit; the Infinity Control Box is proprietary, and using a different system would create compatibility problems with existing equipment. Therefore, the Contracting Officer intends to award a direct, sole-source contract to Midwest Lake Management, Inc. for these services.
