The contractor shall provide MIL-STD 1553 cables outfitted with cannon plugs to be connected to the collector and up-to four testers per cable assembly. This equipment will be upgraded by the vendor and returned to the government at the conclusion of the vendor s work. The vendor will provide the 118 interface cables to the government as part of the contract. This authority is supported by an approved FAR subpart 13.5 Sole Source Justification. It is the Government's intent to proceed with this sole source action. The applicable NAICS code is 334515. The contractor shall upgrade and repair the Dragoon ITCN C-STAT Timing testers. These timing testers are used for testing the chaff and flare systems on the EC/HC/MC-130; C-130J, A-10, HH-60, F-16 and MC-12 configurations. The C-STAT shall also provide the capability to capture the firing pulse and locations of expendables dispensed from the aircraft. The upgrades to the C-STAT will reduce mission execution by over an hour each test. With over 300 tests per year, often conducted during mission critical times, these upgrades will save the Combat Air Force hundreds of hours of time during mission critical moments.
